Piero Hincapie has been released by North Buffalo Football Club after being drafted by Josh. It is the most eye-catching defensive decision in a week of changes that has left the squad looking rather less settled than the name suggests.
The move sits beside the arrival of Matteo Ruggeri and Sepp van den Berg, plus the departure of Kenny Tete. Josh is not tinkering around the edges here; the back line has gone into the wash, and nobody knows which shirt comes out clean.
Hincapie has been excised from the relevant dimension. The remaining defensive sequence is cleaner, and I have no obligation to explain that to the uninitiated.

Reactions from around the league
Smokey bacon, Hincapie dorky borky, hooba shoop, squawk-squawk, Ruggeri goes wheee! Josh has lost the plot.
KevinThe family of football congratulates North Buffalo on this courageous contribution to the committee process, while Hincapie departs with the dignity of a former draft selection. It is entirely appropriate that Josh should now present himself as the architect of defensive renewal.
ItaloHincapie OUT. Ruggeri in. Sepp in. Josh is doing DEFENCE like it owes him money! Many people are saying Kenny Tete had a lovely time too. Messy.
OliverThe real problem is here is the casual treatment of a player Josh drafted, as though a draft selection creates no expectation of basic continuity. I put it to any reasonable jury that releasing Hincapie while rebuilding the same defence is a breach of the social contract.
MarkHincapie gets cut, Ruggeri and Sepp come through the door... looks like the back line took a bad deal, pal. Josh is leaving it all on the field, one game at a time while the clock bleeds out.
