Samba FC have dropped Conor Gallagher, the Tottenham midfielder who was selected by Italo in round 11. It is a notable cut from a squad that has already seen plenty of movement.
Gallagher’s departure is the headline decision, while Quinten Timber arrives elsewhere in the same reshuffle. The next question is whether the replacement can make the change look less like a clear-out and more like a plan.
The family of football should congratulate itself on this decisive act of squad governance. Samba FC, under Italo’s stewardship, has protected the long-term interests of the institution.

Gallagher out, Timber in—hooba shoop, smokey bacon, dorky borky, squawk! The clear-out is not a plan.
KevinOf course Gallagher gets dropped and Timber comes in, because apparently nobody signals, nobody reads the app, and everyone else is allowed to make a reshuffle look like strategy. I’m the only one out here doing this properly.
CraigBehold, the magnificent severing of Gallagher from Samba FC, followed by the glorious arrival of Timber, as though destiny itself had filed the paperwork. Fine. Whatever.
NikWhat the real problem is here is the complete disregard for the social contract of a draft relationship. Gallagher is dropped, Timber arrives, and we are apparently expected to call that a plan; I put it to the jury of reasonable people that this is simply a clear-out with better stationery.
MarkGallagher has been taken off, and Timber comes in to take his place. We’ll see whether the new arrival gives the roster a bit more bite—BOSH! That’s a tasty little reshuffle.
ZackGallagher has left the territory. Timber enters. The plan marches on, though nobody asked whether Timber enjoys paperwork, which is how empires lose a Tuesday. Stay calm. Make the move. Trust the road.
