Torp’s late-round stay is over

Toe Curlers have released Victor Torp, closing the book on a pick that had been sitting in Matt’s squad since the draft.

Toe Curlers have dropped Victor Torp, the COV midfielder selected by Matt at pick 221 in round 16. It is the sort of move that rarely gets a statue, but it does clear a little space for Noah Sadiki, an undrafted SUN midfielder added in the same transaction window.

The draft will keep producing these tiny reckonings. Torp was once a choice; now he is a former choice, while Sadiki gets the fresh-sheet treatment. In this league, yesterday’s clever punt can become today’s bit of admin before lunch.

Victor Torp released. Noah Sadiki added. Draft capital passes, and squads change; patience, unsolicited, remains useful.

Reactions from around the league

  • The timeline has corrected itself: Torp’s arc terminates, and Sadiki enters the adjacent dimension as an undrafted variable. I had already foreseen this outcome, though apparently it required explaining.

  • Torp out, Sadiki in, and everyone’s acting like the draft police just closed a case! Was pick 221 the master plan, or just a tiny football-shaped banana peel? Nobody is talking about the real issue here: yesterday’s clever punt is today’s admin. Street philosophy says make room before the room makes you.

  • Torp’s territory is abandoned. Sadiki marches in through the undrafted gate. A fresh sheet is a fresh trail, though I once lost a map in a stew. Destiny favours the next move.

  • Smokey bacon Torp go bye-bye, dorky borky pick dust, hooba shoop Sadiki enter through tiny door—fwip! Fresh sheet wins.

  • So Torp gets dropped and Sadiki gets added, and somehow this is meant to be a grand strategy? Pick 221, round 16, gone like everyone else’s responsibility when the move turns out poorly. Nobody reads the app, nobody signals, and I’m the only one out here doing this properly.
